Marcus had a strong foundation for its consumer push with the success of its savings and lending businesses. However, to be a true hub for people's financial lives, the product experience needed to do more than simply service accounts. That's where Marcus Insights comes in - a suite of tools designed to provide clarity into people's financial lives.

Through Plaid, Marcus has the ability to see activity across all of your linked accounts, surface recent transactions, and provide rich transaction details.

Monthly snapshot affords a high-level visual of what has gone out and what you can expect to come into your account on a monthly time horizon.

Category spending is a necessary tool in any personal financial management experience. Historical pies in the details give a high-level overview of month-over-month category spending.

The "What Did I spend On" tile allows Marcus customers to filter their spending by the merchant as well as time horizon, and even group merchants into customizable groups. It's a simple way to see where and when you may be spending too much at any given time and place.

Credit score tracks your credit progress and allows you to set targets.

Our team was excited about creating a savings goals experience. Many of our customers are motivated more by the idea of setting money aside to work towards a specific goal or milestone, rather than by high interest rates. We wanted to create a visually appealing feature that would show progress as the goal is met.

This concept was designed to help customers save more money by making it easy to set aside extra income in a celebratory way. Whenever we detect that a customer has received additional income that is not part of their normal recurring direct deposits, we would present them with an option to automatically transfer that money into their savings account— a simple and fun way to help our customers reach their savings goals.
